 "description": "<DIV STYLE=\"text-align:Left;\"><DIV><DIV><P><SPAN>The 2022 Census TIGER boundary files for Maryland census block groups are imported into a file geodatabase, projected to Maryland State Plane HARN (NAD 83/91) US survey feet, and then joined to the City's standard 2018-2022 American Community Survey (ACS) 5-year core extract.  The joined version is then exported to a separate feature class, retaining both the TIGER fields and the ACS fields.<\/SPAN><\/P><P><SPAN>For census block groups that are wholly or partially within the City of Gaithersburg, additional fields are provided that tabulate the proportion of households, population, and dwelling units within each block groups that are attributable to areas within the City limits.  These fields are based on the 2020 Decennial Census PL 94-171 Redistricting Summary File (for both total block group and City-only numbers), the City's January and July 2020 Dwelling Units and Population Reports (for City-only numbers), and the City's January and July 2020 households_population_jobs feature classes and SDAT information for areas beyond those FCs but within the Census block group (for total dwelling units based on parcels).
